Educational Overview

The Beacon Institute prides itself in its ability to meet the ever-changing educational needs of senior care communities and the senior citizens of Maryland and Washington DC. Our success can be measured largely by the number of communities and individuals who participate in our educational workshops each year, and in the evaluations that they provide us.

The Beacon Institute presents more than 70 educational programs, including conferences, seminars, workshops and customized educational programs to a total audience of approximately 3,000 seniors and senior care professionals each year. In 2006, the Beacon Institute hosted more leadership training than ever before, presenting on average, at least one educational program each week.
